Dr. Roxy Leslie

Veterinarian/Owner

Dr. Leslie graduated from Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2000 and practiced at Augusta West Veterinary Clinic from 2000-2001. He then moved back to Louisiana to practice at Animal ER in Shreveport from 2001-2003. In 2003, he purchased Village Animal Clinic In Mobile, Alabama, where he has owned and practiced from 2003-2023. His Aunt lived in Scottsdale, AZ, for many years, and he has decided to pursue an adventure in acquiring Canyon Animal Hospital. He looks forward to continuing the excellent care the Hehns have established.

Dr. Sophie Galvin

Veterinarian

Dr Galvin from Midwestern University College of Veterinary Medicine in May 2023 and chose to stay in sunny Arizona. Originally born in England, she moved to America at 9-years-old and grew up in Texas. With a passion for medicine and surgery, she always knew she wanted to be a doctor, and she participated in medical programs and externships within the medical field starting in high school. As a first-generation college student, she earned a BA in Biology with a minor in Chemistry while also pursuing a second BA degree in English Creative Writing. She also has a special interest in soft-tissue surgery, preventative medicine, and senior pet care. When not working, Dr Galvin enjoys traveling with family, spending time at Disneyland, reading and writing fiction novels, attending music concerts, and enjoying good food. Her pet family includes an affectionate Coton de Tulear named Rocket and a younger mischievous Coton de Tulear named Holly.

Mary Leslie

Hospital Manager

Mary Leslie has been in veterinary medicine since 1998. She began as a kennel technician at Brookings Animal Hospital in Shreveport, LA, for a year before attending Northwestern State University and moving to a technician position for a year. Then she became the office manager of Brookings Animal Hospital until 2003, as well as working at the Animal ER. In 2003, she moved to Mobile, Alabama, where she was the Practice Manager from 2003-2023. She is happy to become a part of the Canyon Animal Hospital team and looks forward to maintaining the practice with the outstanding values and care as the Hehn’s have.
